With six years of experience, Alvin has sat with people through some of life’s harder moments, helping adults and couples navigate stress and burnout, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and self-confidence struggles. Many of his clients are managing well on the surface while quietly carrying more than they let on, and he creates space for that to be named rather than pushed further down.
Alvin’s approach is direct and considered. Rather than jumping straight to coping strategies, he first helps clients understand the roots of their patterns, using Schema Therapy to unpack where a response comes from, then Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to build practical ways forward, all grounded in a trauma-informed lens. With couples, he draws on the Gottman Method to help partners recognise their cycles and rebuild connection.
Outside the therapy room, Alvin hikes and spends time outdoors, a habit that shapes how he works, too. He moves at the client’s pace rather than rushing toward resolution, believing that real change comes from being understood first, not fixed first.
