Marie Chong

Counselling Psychologist

As a counselling psychologist in Singapore and full member of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS), Marie Chong supports clients of all ages through life’s emotional challenges. She has worked with children and adolescents in educational and community settings, as well as adults in public and private sectors. Marie addresses a diverse range of concerns, from clinical issues to everyday stress, and specialises in mood disorders (e.g., depression and anxiety), panic-related concerns, child/adolescent behavioural issues, and relationship problems.

Marie values the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client and strives to create a warm environment where clients can express themselves freely, sharing not only their woes but also their joys and perhaps even a good laugh. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the unique needs of each individual, integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Choice Theory Reality Therapy (CTRT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and family-based modalities. She firmly believes that therapy goes beyond problem-solving and is fundamentally a journey toward a flourishing life.
