Counsellor
Having worked across the lifespan with children, adolescents, individuals, and couples, Yeening has experience addressing a diversity of presentations, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, parenting and relationship difficulties, grief, as well as domestic and family violence. She has supported clients to develop more effective coping strategies, self-compassion, self-awareness, and insight into their problems, and to get more in touch with their emotions so as to build resilience and lead more fulfilling lives and relationships. Although Yeening takes an integrative approach to counselling, she often emphasises Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as a Person-Centered, Narrative, Strengths-Based approach to encourage client autonomy and empowerment. She enjoys incorporating elements of expressive practices to help clients explore their problems and change in a creative manner. In her spare time, Yeening can be found connecting with the outdoors, curled up with a good book, crocheting, or spending time with her family and friends.
